Excellent! One of mine has a bud too... but the weather is getting warm :-(

Lets hope, she will flower before it warms up too much.   :)

The B. sanguinea yellow - seedlings have grown to nice trees, the largest has a height of 2,45m. The seedling on the left with the reddish flower is the formerly labeled B. vulcanicola Quito, which is probably not a species but a vulsa - hybrid.

You can certainly see the vulcanicola influence, but that calyx looks to me like there is sanguinea there too...

Mine dropped its buds with an outbreak of hot weather and spider mites! :(

They surely do not like hot weather but wet and cool like it was here in August and September is also not their favorite

I have noticed that already on the first flower of this seedling. But it is a obiviously a hybrid with a strong vulcanicola - influence.

grr I mine still hasve not bloomed. they just keep getting taller . I like the shape of the your bloom but I wish the color was brighter.
